This data of project boundaries is intended to include all known CERP projects that have a definable spatial extent. An assessment of completeness is not available, but the author is not aware of any errors of omission. This data is continually updated by Land Resources as new information becomes available. Changes from CERP Guidance Memorandum 002.01 Dated 10-15-2 are reflected herein.

Maintaining consistency of information sources and products is one of the main objectives of the CERP strategy. The widespread use of digital formats and modern communications makes it possible to proliferate an unmanageable number of different versions in a short period of time. Data stewardship, centralized tracking and distribution, and improved documentation are some of the preventive measures that data managers will use to insure that consistent versions of high quality data are available to all stakeholders. This data layer of project boundaries, which is a key layer for nearly all CERP applications, is a prime example of that strategy.

A number of survey/mapping processes have been used to acquire this data, varying with each project. For more information about how the acquired data is prepared and added in to the data set, contact the data stewards in Land Resources. Process Date: GeoPlan downloaded this dataset from the South Florida Water Management District FTP website on October 24th, 2016. The website can be found here: ftp://ftp.sfwmd.gov/pub/gisdata/. This layer can also be downloaded from the SFWMD Data Catalog with a specific search query as seen here: http://my.sfwmd.gov/gisapps/sfwmdxwebdc/dataview.asp?query=unq_id=341. The data was downloaded as a shapefile and was originally named: bdwmdcrp.shp. The original dataset was in the following projection: NAD_1983_HARN_StatePlane_Florida_East_FIPS_0901. The following steps were taken to have the dataset meet FGDL standards and format: - Dataset reprojected to FGDL Albers NAD83 Harn - DESCRIPT field added based on PROJECT - FGDLAQDATE field added based on date downloaded from source - All records were upcased, excluding email addresses - Fields like OBJECTID, SHAPE_LEN, and SHAPE_AREA were removed - Fields were edited to appropriate character lengths - Original layer name changed from bdwmdcrp to sfwmd_bdwmdcrp_mar16 Process Date: 20161024
