SWFWMD: A frequency table of the Parcel layer is created which contains the parcel number and acreage. This table is compared with a parcel list of parcels that have been acquired. |
This data is provided 'as is' by GeoPlan and is complete to our knowledge. |
GeoPlan relied on the integrity of the attribute information within the original data. |
SJRWMD: The St. Johns River Water Management District prepares and uses information for its own purposes and this information may not be suitable for other purposes. This information is provided "as is". Further documentation of this data can be obtained by contacting: St. Johns River Water Management District, Division of Integrated Application Systems, Post Office Box 1429, Palatka, Florida, 32178-1429, (386) 329-4500. SRWMD: Data portrays all interests, current and past, within SRWMD District. SWFWMD: This data set were created to show the locations of proposed District owned land. It should be used for cartographic and resource management purposes only. Overlay of acquired maps with 1:24000 USGS quadrangle maps and comparisons of relatively well-defined features such as roads and rivers determined the accuracy to be +/- 13 meters. The above value is estimated to meet National Map Accuracy Standards for 1:24,000 maps. These files are continuously updated as new lands are proposed or acquired. The contractor for the Green Swamp and Lower Hillsborough, FDA was: Professional Engineering Consultants, Inc. 200 East Robinson Street, Suite 1560 Orlando, Florida 32801 (407) 422-8062 Additional Information: (352) 796-7211 SFWMD: This layer includes parcels that have been acquired by the District or proposed for acquisition. It does not include lands owned by other organizations, in general. It is one of many data sets that show boundaries and attributes of property parcels related to District projects. It is a compilation of coverages of individual properties or groups of properties. Other related layers are the District Right of Ways, CERP Project boundaries, Save Our Rivers Project Boundaries, Public Lands, and digital county parcel maps. These maps are used by many different business functions at SFWMD and other agencies. The official and most current version of lands for acquisition is maintained by the Land Acquisition Division, named 'sfwownall'. Boundary lines are derived primarily from digital versions of county parcel maps. It should be noted that the boundaries contained in this dataset are based on the best information available at the time of entry. Although some boundaries are based on survey data, this dataset is a graphical representation and should be construed as such. In no way should this data be construed as survey accurate. A detailed guide to this data base is not available at this time, and is not essential for general usage and understanding. Users should note that there is a substantial body of information about the projects themselves on the Land Acquisition web site as well as others. For more information about the Land Acquisition Program and related projects, users should visit the applicable intraweb and internet web sites. A central site for Land Acquisition is at https://www.sfwmd.gov/doing-business-with-us/real-estate. Along with general information about the program, this site contains a detailed description of each project and maps at different scales. Project information is also available at the site: https://www.sfwmd.gov/our-work/everglades. This site contains links to management plans, calendars, related projects, a glossary of terms, and a tool to select projects by interactive map query. For additional information users may also contact: The referenced data steward for this spatial layer, and associated development staff. The metadata specialist and others on staff at GIS Services Division, SFWMD. The contacts and resources listed on the District's web site at www.sfwmd.com. The USGS compendium of information about the South Florida environment at www.sofia.usgs.gov/metadata/index.html. Users can view additional metadata details for this and hundreds of other enterprise GIS layers in tabular format by going to the GIS data catalog at the district intraweb site. Comprehensive parcel maps are available in digital format for most of the District, from county and other sources. The county parcel maps have extensive attribution used for appraisal and other purposes. For more information about obtaining and using the digital parcel maps contact the Land Acquisition data stewards or land use specialists in GIS Services at the District. IRIS is the Integrated Real Estate Information System. The IRIS database is an Oracle database that stores all of the tabular information in a highly normalized (3rd normal form) database structure. The SFWOWNALL SDE feature class is a view to denormalize for ease of distribution. |
The data was created to serve as base information for use in GIS systems for a variety of planning and analytical purposes. |
This data is provided 'as is' and its horizontal positional accuracy has not been verified by GeoPlan |
This data is provided 'as is' and its vertical positional accuracy has not been verified by GeoPlan |
SWFWMD: These data were not collected under the supervision of a licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper. Use of these data requires a general understanding of GIS. SRWMD: SRWMD requests that all reports and maps that utilize this data layer include the following text: SRWMD shall not be held liable for any injury or damage caused by the use of the data distributed as a public records request regardless of their use or application. SRWMD does not guarantee the quality, accuracy or suitability for any use of this data, and no warranty is expressed or implied. SFWMD: This map is a conceptual tool utilized for project development only. THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA GEOPLAN CENTER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES SUFFERED AS A RESULT OF USING, MODIFYING, CONTRIBUTING OR DISTRIBUTING THE MATERIALS. A note about data scale: Scale is an important factor in data usage. Certain scale datasets are not suitable for some project, analysis, or modeling purposes. Please be sure you are using the best available data. 1:24000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the county level. 1:24000 data should NOT be used for high accuracy base mapping such as property parcel boundaries. 1:100000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the multi-county or regional level. 1:125000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the regional or state level or larger. Vector datasets with no defined scale or accuracy should be considered suspect. Make sure you are familiar with your data before using it for projects or analysis. Every effort has been made to supply the user with data documentation. For additional information, see the References section and the Data Source Contact section of this documentation. For more information regarding scale and accuracy, see our webpage at: http://geoplan.ufl.edu/education.html |
