REFERENCES: DATA LINEAGE SUMMARY:

Nest locations were determined with the use of aircraft-based Global Positioning System (GPS) units. Accuracy of locations is estimated to be within 0.1 miles of the true location. Locations are given in longitude and latitude to hundredths of a minute. The Township, Range, and Section of each nest location are also provided. Township, Range, and Section were determined from the Public Land Survey System grid that includes Land Grant parcels. Process Date: 20160101 The GeoPlan Center took the following steps during the QA/QC process: - Downloaded the datasets from FFWCC on 7/26/2018 using this link: http://geodata.myfwc.com/pages/downloads (original dataset was in shapefile format and in the WGS 1984 geographic coordinate system). - The dataset was projected into the FGDL Albers HPGN projection using the WGS_1984_(ITRF00)_To_NAD_1983 + NAD_1983_To_HARN_Florida transformation. - OBJECTID field was removed. - DESCRIPT field added based on the NESTID field. Any records with no data in the NESTID field had their DESCRIPT field calculated as 'NO DESCRIPT AVAILABLE'. - FGDLAQDATE field added based on the date the dataset was downloaded from the source. - The longest record for each field was found and field character lengths were shortened to appropriate shortest lengths possible. - Uppercased fields and appropriate records in the dataset. - Layer name changed from Eagle_Nesting.shp to eagle_nests_2016.shp Process Date: 20180726 Dataset copied. Process Date: 20180728
