This dataset contains water management district boundaries and has been amended since the release of previous versions of the FGDL.

The Florida Water Management District boundaries interpreted from rule and digitized from USGS 7.5 minute map series quadrangles. Process Date: Unknown -Projected data to FGDL Albers -Set Precision to DOUBLE -Set Tolerances to FGDL Standards Process Date: 19980520 Updated boundaries were downloaded from the DEP website in September 2004: http://www.dep.state.fl.us/gis/datadir.htm The more up-to-date inner boundaries of the DEP's Water Management Boundaries were merged with the generalized outer boundaries of the existing FGDL Water Management Boundary layer. This process was carried out in order to create a more generalized boundary layer excluding all of the small islands that make up the Florida Coastline. Process Date: 20040900
